Amy and Mitchell got married in front of a picturesque lake in September 2021.
I met Amy and her bridal party at their home as they were getting ready for the day. I must say, Amy is one of the calmest brides I’ve ever seen - so serene! The bridal party looked fabulous in their matching dresses, and of course, little Addison was just the perfect princess!
As the bridal party arrived at the venue, I went to capture their entrance - not the usual red carpet entrance… a shot welcome! I feel like pre-ceremony sambuca should be a new tradition at weddings.
The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. I had tears in my eyes as I watched these two say their I Do’s. (This is very annoying as a photographer because I sort of need to see!).
After completing the group photographs, I strolled up to the lake, Amy and Mitchell in tow. It’s usually the first point of the day where you can actually be alone (with a friendly photographer just hanging out too). It was a cloudy day but it added to the beautiful Autumnal colours of the countryside around us.
The speeches - I couldn’t stop giggling at these - so many comedians in this family! I think the highlight must have been when the best man read out some of the cards from guests who couldn’t be there… Mitchell… I’ll say no more..!
And finally, I can’t blog this wedding without mentioning the amazing cake! From the front… an elegant white wedding cake… classic. But walk around to the back of the cake… BATMAN CAKE! It was an epic little surprise.
